Hello! I’m Chethana. I’m an osteopathic medical student from New York on a journey to blend the art of healing with the science of medicine as a future family physician. With a heart set on family medicine and a keen interest in preventative care and osteopathic manipulative medicine, I’m weaving my path through the intricacies of the human body and the holistic approaches to health.
As someone who believes in the power of diversity in medicine, I’m actively involved with Pre-SOMA, where I champion the aspirations of underrepresented minorities dreaming of a future in osteopathic medicine. Advocacy is a cornerstone of my philosophy, especially for enhancing healthcare access in communities where quality medical care remains a privilege.
When not immersed in textbooks or engaging in community service, you can find me balancing the demands of medical life with the joy of Sri Lankan traditional dance, the thrill of cycling through the vibrant streets of New York, or the adventure of savoring new and diverse cuisines. This blend of culture, passion, and service is not just what I do, it’s who I am.
